The basic directions of activity:

Selection and summarizing of national and foreign literature data on the directions of the Institute’s researches;
Quarterly issues of annotated bulletins on especially dangerous and natural focal bacterial and virus infections;
Improvement of an object retrieval system and selection of corresponding publications on the actual directions of medical sciences;
Maintenance and renovation of the Institute’s library stock;
Database search and analysis of literature and patent data concerning the problems studying by the Institute;
Creation and constant updating of electronic full-text database.

Practical opportunities:

Search and selection of scientific publications concerning bacterial and virus infections;
Providing the electronic communication (E-mail) with national and foreign researchers;
Creation of electronic patterns of author's abstracts of dissertations, methodical recommendations and other normative documents;
Text translations from English into Russian and vice versa;
Technical and software service of the Institute’s computer system.

The basic directions of work:

Breeding and corresponding maintenance of laboratory animal numbers (rabbits, guinea pigs, inbred and linear mice);
Carrying out of selection work, development and taking measures on livestock life-support.

The basic direction of the laboratory:

Providing of anti-epidemic and technical conditions for conducting of experimental investigations on animals with the causative agents of I-II pathogenicity groups.

Practical opportunities:

Utilization of small laboratory animals by cremation;
Carrying-out of experimental investigations with infectious agents of I-IV pathogenicity groups on laboratory animals and other animal species.

The basic directions of scientific activity:

Development and improvement of test-systems for detection of infectious causative agents of I-IV pathogenicity groups and these toxins in clinical materials and food substances.

Practical opportunities:

Carrying out of primary specialization courses and thematic training cycles for doctors - epidemiologists, bacteriologists, virologists and laboratory assistants on especially dangerous and natural focal infectious agents.
Conducting laboratory and rapid analyses of clinical materials and environment objects on presence of microorganisms of I-IV pathogenicity groups.
